Oil and Gas Sector Support

Korsakov Marine Trade Port, Joint-Stock Company (KMTP, JSC) has been ensuring uninterrupted operation of major oil-and-gas operators like Gazpromneft Sakhalin, LLC, Gazprom Flot, LLC, Gazprom Geologorazvedka, LLC, Magadanmorneftegaz, LLC, Statoil, Mezhregion Truboprovod Stroi Vostok, LLC for over 15 years, rendering them services through intermediary companies (JV Sakhalin-Shelf-Service, LLC, Schlumberger Vostok, LLC, MIDGLEN Logistics Sakhalin, LLC, Vostok Morneftegaz, JSC). The services include transshipment of oil-and-gas equipment and supply materials, provision of outdoor and indoor storage facilities, provision of dock workers and port equipment, including overhead / mobile cranes, loaders, vehicles and other machinery to deliver drilling equipment and shift workers to the drilling platforms within the licensed blocks of the continental shelf by sea transport from the Korsakov Port.

The proximity of the Korsakov Port to shelf projects of Sakhalin, Magadan and the Kamchatka Peninsula enables straight-through traffic to the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region (Singapore, Korea, Japan) when delivering any oil-and-gas equipment required for the construction of offshore wells, and makes the Port a prospective foothold for the development of a UNIFIED efficient transport-and-logistics onshore transshipment terminal.

Since 2009 the administration of KMTP, JSC has established cooperation with local authorities (border, customs and migration services) to ensure uninterrupted operation of the passenger line connecting the port with drilling platforms, to transport shift/drilling specialists for the group of companies of Gazprom, PJSC.

For the purposes of improving the port efficiency and increasing its economic attractiveness for oil-and-gas projects operators (end consumers of services), since 2016 the management of KMTP, JSC has been reducing the number of services rendered through intermediary companies, entering into direct contracts with the end consumers (oil-and-gas project operators – Customers), and engaging its own subsidiaries to render the services. The provision of Shore Base services and port infrastructure directly, without the participation of intermediary companies offers significant advantages to Customers: reduction of tangible costs required for the intermediaries’ services; increased efficiency and quality of performed works due to direct liability of contractors; reduction of document flow; time saving, etc.

By this moment KMTP, JSC possesses a vast experience, all required infrastructure, and qualified personnel for a comprehensive meeting oil and gas companies with coastal support base services
